About us

Beelosophy nonprofit was born recognising the cultural and environmental significance of the Bee society. The decline of Bee and other pollinator populations observed worldwide - along with the interlinked environmental and cultural crisis - are a major threat to life, one that calls for concerted action at all levels.

Approach & Impact
Guided by a Bee-centric philosophy, Beelosophy works to highlight the importance and safeguard the heritage of the Bee society and beekeeping, protect Bees from various threats, and draw valuable lessons from their world. Our work rests upon the connection of related fields of interest, the promotion of collaborative networking and the active engagement of local societies, communities, and entities.

Indipendence - Transparency

Beelosophy is independent from local, regional and national governments, public authorities and political parties or private entities. Its operational and financial plans and outcomes are reviewed annually by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture, as it is officially registered as a Cultural Entity with the Ministry. In addition, Beelosophy is registered as a civil society organisation with the Hellenic Ministry of the Interior. Thus, it adheres to the principles of sound financial management, responsibility, transparency and integrity, as defined by law.
