Beelosophy is composed of the words 'Bee' and 'Philosophy'

Beelosophy nonprofit was founded on the recognition of the vital role that the society of Bees plays for both culture and the environment. The decline of Bee and other pollinator populations observed worldwide - coupled with the interlinked environmental and cultural crisis - poses a serious threat to life itself, calling for concerted and immediate action at all levels.

Approach & Impact
Guided by a Bee-centric philosophy, Beelosophy works to highlight the impo
rtance and safeguard the heritage of Bee society and beekeeping, to protect Bees from multiple threats, and to draw valuable lessons from their world. Its work places emphasis on connecting related fields of interest, strenghtening collaborative networking, and encouraging active engagement of local societies, communities, and stakeholders.

Indipendence & Transparency

Beelosophy is officially registered as a Cultural Entity with the Ministry of Culture and as a civil society organisation with the Hellenic Ministry of the Interior. It operates independently of local, regional, and national governments, public authorities, political parties or private entities. The organisation is subject to annual monitoring by the Ministry of Culture regarding its operational and financial planning and results. It adheres strictly to the principles of sound financial management, accountability, transparency, and integrity, as defined by law.

UN Sustainable Development Goals

Beelosophy supports the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Through its work, it actively demonstrates its commitment to the protection of biodiversity, to well-being, and to the preservation of the cultural heritage of the Bee society and beekeeping.
