Beelosophy awarded the main bearers of Melekouni as part of the "SWEETEN YOUR HERITAGE" action. This award is meant as a recognition of the work of the awarded bodies, but also, more broadly, of the residents of the Koskinou Community and other areas of Rhodes, as well as entities and bodies of Rhodes.
In recent years there have been losses in bee populations worldwide. Without Bees, many plant species will decline and eventually disappear, along with the organisms that depend on them. Therefore, without Bees, animals and plants die, and life is degraded and threatened.
On Sunday, December 3th, 2023, at Kokotos Estate (Stamata, Attica), Beelosophy organised an event for the action SWEETEN YOUR HERITAGE. The event was dedicated to Melekouni of Rhodes, since the aim of the action SWEETEN YOUR HERITAGE is to highlight and preserve Melekouni. On Saturday, November 25, 2023, we gathered at Serafio, Athens, for the 1st Meeting of the Network for Intangible Cultural Heritage, an initiative organised by the Directorate of Modern Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture.
The nationwide magazine Melissokomiko Vima featured in issue 124 (September–October 2023), on page 57, a special report on BEELOSOPHY's "SWEETEN YOUR HERITAGE" initiative, titled "Melekouni Takes Center Stage in the SWEETEN YOUR HERITAGE Action."
