BAR-MAKING WORKSHOP
On Tuesday, September 12, 2023, we finalised the recipes for the cultural bars we are creating together with Evangelos Hassiotis, Chef of the SWEETEN YOUR HERITAGE initiative. The star ingredient of the two desserts we prepared (oat & granola bars) is Melekouni, as our goal is to highlight and preserve its value.
CULTURAL TOUR WITH MELEKOUNI
Tonight (Tuesday, September 5, 2023), we created the first version of the original bar recipes we will be developing, with Melekouni as the star ingredient!
DESIGNING CULTURAL FLAVOURS
On Sunday, July 23, 2023, the BEELOSOPHY team, together with Evangelos Hassiotis, Chef of the SWEETEN YOUR HERITAGE (SYH) initiative*, set the framework for the original dessert recipes we will develop. We decided to design one main recipe (a bar) in two variations. The star ingredient of the new recipes is Melekouni of Rhodes.
BEE DAY 2023
On the occasion of the International Bee Day (20/5) and Biodiversity (22/5), on Saturday 27th May 2023, young and old, we all met at Kokotos Estate in Stamata, Attica, and spent an hour discussing about pollinators, their behaviour and their importance for life.
SWEETEN YOUR HERITAGE
The proposed initiative – SWEETEN YOUR HERITAGE, which refers to Melekouni of Rhodes, an element inscribed in the National Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Greece, has been approved by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture.
