In Varnavas, Attica, beekeeper Christos Apostolou keeps alive a rare tradition: the crafting of woven beehives made from cane and rushes, along with the art of making the skoufos — the conical cover placed over the hive. On Sunday, September 28, 2025, at the Center of the Earth (Ilion, Attica), Beelosophy and Organization Earth held a unique cultural and gastronomic event dedicated to Melalevria, a traditional sweet from Kythera that highlights how tradition, nutrition, and culture can serve as pillars of sustainability and resilience for local communities.

As part of the project "CYCLADES' WAY OF BEE-ING", implemented by BEELOSOPHY and the Environmental Education Centre (ΚΕΠΕΑ) of Syros-Hermoupolis, students from kindergartens, primary and secondary schools in the Cyclades are invited to become young writers and create their own story about bees and pollinators!

At the Monastery of Agia Moni in Kythera, a unique tradition continues: the art of candle making. Father Giorgis Adikimenakis, guardian of a craft that is slowly fading, creates with care pure beeswax candles — symbols of faith and continuity for the island's churches.
