Registered in the National Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage, Melekouni of Rhodes embodies collective memory and culture. Beelosophy preserves the knowledge and practices associated with it.
This initiative has already been successfully implemented with the support of the Ministry of Culture and seeks your support to expand further.

Results

• New recipes and handmade cultural bars were created, accompanied by video, brochures, and an e-booklet
• Tasting workshops, presentation events, and an award ceremony were organised
• A scientific paper on the nutritional value of Melekouni was produced
• Educational and awareness-raising activities were carried out in schools

Impact

• The traditional knowledge and flavours of the region are preserved

• Young people connect with their roots through gastronomy

• Our cultural identity is showcased both in Greece and abroad
