A custom-made, innovative action targeting an organisation's internal audience

    Addressed to our supporters (Schools, Organisations, companies)

    OBJECTIVES

    • Raise awareness on the cultural and environmental significance of Bees.
    • Cultivate environmental consciousness.
    • Highlight the importance of teamwork, dedication, self-sufficiency and ethics in achieving success.
    • Promote a healthy diet while familiarising with different aspects of intangible cultural heritage as elements that determine our collective memory, identity, and self-awareness.
    • Lessons from the hive / the collective wisdom of Bees.
    • Optional: The organisation becomes an ambassador of our mission (a BEE FRIEND certificate is awarded).
    • Optional: Co-branding partnership - e.g. jars of honey or t-shirts offered as a present.


    PROGRAMME OUTLINE

    ACTIVITY 1: AWARENESS RAISING (1 HOUR)

    This activity is dedicated to bees, their value for the environment and culture and the ways we can support them and includes a video, discussion/brainstorming, lecture-presentation accompanied by slides, demonstration of beekeeping materials/equipment, educational game.

    ACTIVITY 2: HONEY TASTING WORKSHOP (2 HOURS)

    During this fascinating experience, our beneficiaries will be fully immersed in the complex secrets of honey. Through interactive exercises, they will be guided through the methods of sensory analysis and will be given a rare opportunity to taste and recognise 7 premium samples of pure Greek honey varieties. Their journey to the aromas and colours of the wild Greek nature will be coupled with fun educational games in groups.

    ACTIVITY 3: CULTURE BARS MAKING (CULTURAL GASTRONOMY) (1 HOUR)

    Under the guidance of our award-winning chef and an experienced lecturer, participants will learn about the importance of intangible cultural heritage and our agro-food treasures. Then, everyone will be engaged in preparing the culturally certified sweet "Melekouni of Rhodes", with a recipe they will love and try again at home with their family or friends.
