DESIGNING CULTURAL FLAVOURS

On Sunday, July 23, 2023, the BEELOSOPHY team, together with Evangelos Hassiotis, Chef of the SWEETEN YOUR HERITAGE (SYH) initiative*, set the framework for the original dessert recipes we will develop. We decided to design one main recipe (a bar) in two variations. The star ingredient of the new recipes is Melekouni of Rhodes.

The brainstorming and influx of inspiration sparked many creative questions: How can we balance gastronomic innovation with cultural creation? What will be the complexity characteristics of the dessert variations? How should we name the sweets to highlight the cultural essence of Melekouni from a contemporary perspective? How will we design beautiful packaging? The first answers to these questions will be revealed soon in a live recipe workshop!
