BEE HIVES WITH AN ENVIRONMENTAL MESSAGE

When education becomes action for the future of bees

On April 21, 2026, Beelosophy visited the High School of Anixi as part of the BEE COSMOS programme, which connects environmental education with experiential learning and art.

Through videos, photos, and storytelling from Beelosophy's activities, as well as international best practices, students explored the critical role of bees in ecosystems, food systems, and culture, as well as ways to protect them from modern threats.

Sixty students participated, with a selected group continuing into an art project focused on painting beehives, transforming knowledge into creative expression with an environmental message.

The experience has already sparked interest in further developing the programme at an international level through future collaborations.

The action, linked to the programme "Ecological & Food Footprint: The Value of Honey," is coordinated at the school by Deputy Head and visual arts teacher Mr. Ilias Kyriazis.

Beelosophy develops interventions that empower schools and communities as agents of change.
